This term we are learning how to draw pictures that clearly depict an image. Can you recognise anyone you know?

Our Potato People

A few weeks ago we read Pamela Allen's book, 'The Potato People'. After reading the book we decided to dress up some potatoes and make our very own Potato People. We are paitiently waiting for them to get old and grow horns!

Once our Potato People become old and withered, we will plant them here in our vegetable garden. We hope that they will grow and that we will have hundreds of potatoes just like the story!

Fruit Salad, YUMMY, YUMMY!!!

This term we have been learning how to write and follow a PROCEDURE. On Monday we wrote a procedure on HOW TO MAKE FRUIT KEBABS. Yesterday we had so much fun following our procedures and making our very own fruit kebabs.

First we had to write the procedure.

Then we had to follow the procedure and thread the fruit onto the skewer.

When our skewer was full of fruit....



 

We ate them!

Have you seen our vegetable garden?

This term Year Two are continuing to grow fruits and vegetables in the garden behind our classrooms. So far we have sold $35 worth of produce which we have now spent on more seedlings. At lunctime on Monday, we worked hard in the garden planting new seedlings of; Bok Choy, Chinese Cabbage, Carrots and Lettuce. We can't wait to watch them grow!!

Welcome to our Year Two Blog, we hope that you will enjoy looking at all the wonderful work we are doing in Year Two. This term we are celebrating the Easter Season. We have been sharing how our own family celebrated Easter and learning about the different ways Jesus is with us today. We are using 'Liquid Pictures' to re-tell the story of Jesus and Thomas John 20:24-29.
